Process

meet & plan

First, I’d love to know more about you and your organization or project. You may have already filled an enquiry form to get an estimate cost or sent an email to introduce yourself. I will get back to you and we can start chatting to get to know each other. I love meeting people face to face, so we will probably set up a coffee date if you live in Denver. If you don’t, we will use FaceTime or a good old phone call. Each project is unique, so after our chat, I will be able to put together a proper quote*, contract and timeline for us to work together. Once everything has been agreed upon and the paperwork has been signed, the fun part can begin!

*May vary from your estimate. Once fees are agreed upon, you will be invoiced for 50% of the total fee up front with the remaining payable on delivery. Work can only begin once this first invoice has been paid.

explore & create

Phase 1

  • I will begin by researching and understanding what makes your organization/mission/project unique. Depending on the task at hand (website, graphic, report, etc), I will put together a plan of action to define a direction for the visual identity of your organization/mission/project.

Phase 2

  • Once you’ve approved the plan of action, I will start playing with ideas: different designs, representations, color pallets, fonts, but nothing too refined yet. This phase is one of research and experimentation to best capture and communicate your message. The best part!

Phase 3

  • As soon as I’ve received your feedback on Phase 2, I will start refining the chosen web or graphic design and create marketing collaterals if needed. We will collaborate on two more rounds* of revisions before finalizing the design.

*I will be flexible on small revisions, but any revision that will seem unreasonable (for example: if you decide against something in Phase 2 but then want to bring it back in Phase 3) or any big revision or u-turn in the design direction will be charged an additional cost.

refine & deliver

Now that you’re really happy with the design, it will be time to polish everything to perfection. Depending on our project, I will look at creating visual guidelines, fonts, or anything else we might need. When our project has come to a close and the final invoice has been paid, I will help facilitate all handover actions as necessary.
